Some of the Requirements of Certification
- Verified years of experience in the remodeling business
Employed by (or own) a firm engaged in the remodeling business - Approved on the basis of the combined resume and exam total
- Completed written examination on business management and technical remodeling knowledge
- Detailed resume of past history, education, training, experience and technical remodeling knowledge

Certified Remodeler (CR)
For full-service remodelers
Green Certified Professional (GCP)
A designation for remodelers focusing on energy efficiency and conservation, indoor air quality, efficient use of resources, recycling of demolition material and renewable energy sources
Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodel (CKBR)
A designation for people who focus primarily on kitchen and bath remodeling
Certified Remodeler Specialist (CRS)
For remodelers who specialize in a particular are of the industry. Seven industry specialties are currently eligible for this designation: concrete and masonry, electrical work, insulation, mechanical systems, plumbing, roofing, and siding
Certified Remodeler Associate (CRA)
For those individuals who actively support the remodeling industry as consultants, educators, manufacturers, publishers, suppliers + writers
Certified Lead Carpenter (CLC)
Exclusively for lead carpenters who are skilled and knowledgeable in the technical, hands-on aspects of their work, but who have also demonstrated skill and knowledge in project management, supervision + customer service
